June 22, 2010   -   Addemar starts pilot project of De Lijn around roadworks

Bus users will from now on know about roadworks on their route

From now on, subscribers to De Lijn will automatically receive messages about the route that they take, if there are planned roadworks. That way, they will know about possible detours and delays. Currently this is being tested in Flemish Brabant. This communication goes through Addemar.

The pilot project has started at the beginning of this month in Flemish Brabant. The next months, information per email with planned changes for certain trajectories will be send to:
  • Bus drivers
  • People responsible for bus stops
  • Service communication that also adjusts the website)
  • Subscribers that have shared their email address

The communication is fully automated and goes through Addemar. The persons involved and the subscribers only receive the info about the routes that are relevant to him/her. This always concerns planned changes. Sudden changes in routes will not be communicated.

After evaluating the pilot project, it can be extended to almost the whole of Flanders.

This way, De Lijn continues to improve its services, internally as well as externally, via modern communication channels. De Lijn will hence be able to keep staff as well as customers direct and personally up to date and ensure a better customer/employee experience.
